What is  the I Matter Relationship Health Learning Journey?

The I Matter Relationship Health Learning Journey offers an engaging and practical way of learning about the important, and overlooked, issue of relationship health. It provides a carefully structured step by step approach focussed on building essential understanding and skills for adults and young people of all ages.

Relationship Health underpins mental health, physical health, education outcomes and crime statistics. 
So, participation in the I Matter Learning Journey offers opportunities for conversation with others about issues that matter to us all. 

For child and family practitioners in Education, Health and Social Care roles, the I Matter Framework offers a practical integration of the research evidence on child and adult wellbeing and an integrated basis for case formulation and effective decision making in child and family practice.

To increase accessibility of I Matter Training we offer self-paced online learning and supported learning with licensed practitioners.

Participation in the supported I Matter Learning Journey offers opportunities for conversation with others about issues that matter to us all. 

People take part in an I Matter learning Journey for a variety of reasons
+ for general interest,
+ for preparation for a role,
+ for strengthening relationships or
+ for supporting a relationship health recovery process. 

Participation in the supported I Matter learning journey offers opportunities for life-changing conversations, the development of new insight and skills, and new friendships and an opportunity to develop essential skills for life and work with a valued mark of achievement in iinsights and skills that are respected by employers.

The I Matter Learning Journey is many things to many people, supporting an all age community to successfully navigate the challenges of life at work and at home.

Where there are licensed practitioners, adults and young people over 11 years can join an I Matter programme through joining a taught workshop First Course or Fundamentals Programme,  Or they can register to study the I Matter Five Steps Online Learning Journey at one of three progressive levels which, when successfully completed, leads to a Bronze, Silver or Gold I Matter Certificate

When working wtih organisations we prioritise the learning journey of adults prior to offerimg the learning journey for young people.

In addition to the Certificate Scheme there is an enriched I Matter Challenge awards scheme.  There are specific activities to complete for the Bronze and Silver level and Gold Awards.

Adults and young people can join the I Matter learning Journey regardless of ability, gender, background or location. Achieving an I Matter Award isn’t a competition. It’s all about getting clear about how to have healthy relationships with others whether young people or adults through developing one's own personal insight and skills for varied roles so that significant relationships can become healthier and happier.

Relationship Health Matters licenses organisations that work with young people and adults in the area of a  Primary Care Networks to offer I Matter programmes, to include, clinics, schools, colleges, youth groups and clubs, . Through the Licensed Organisation (LO) adults and young people pay for a Participation Place and are supported by Lead Practitioners who support them through their programmes, helping them to choose their focus and linked activities, set their objectives and achieve their Certificates and Awards.

Relationship Health Matters is a social enterprise, funded by sales of the cost of I Matter Courses, donations, participation places and licences. We work with licensed organisations to increase opportunities for adults and young people to gain the benefits of joining a supported I Matter Learning Journey.   Licensed practitioners can also offer additional specialist focus study support groups and 1:1 coaching.
