The Step 1-5 Course introduces the theoretical ideas of the I Matter Framework and their applications.   These are a carefully taught practical integration of the research evidence on what helps children and adults to thrive.  The course is intended for professionals and parents-carers who want to build their confidence in their own key role

The Step 1-5 Theory course elaborates on the content introduced in the Getting Started Workshop and introduces the other important theoretical ideas of a Relationship Health Approach including the I Matter triple loops.

Step 3: Taking Stock
Step 4: The I Matter Process: Connect and Take Charge
Step 5: Introducing the Wheel

Learning Outcomes:  At the end of Step 2 you will be able to:

  • Describe the 6 pillars of the I Matter Framework
  • Describe the three dynamic loops
  • Apply relationship health insights to understanding what is happening in relationships with a focus other
  • Identify specific changes you have made and can make to help your relationship with your focus Other

  • Know how to complete an I Matter Informed needs assessment 
  • Know how to design a plan for change
  • Know how to use everyday situations to build key skills
