About the Class: 

The I Matter Framework Fundamentals offer a short programme teaching a practical foundation for seeing current challenges through the lens of relationship health

It is for individuals, parents and carers and professionals,  who are living or working in a challenging situation and wondering about what they can do to help themselves, and help others, to make a difference. 

This training can be an stepping stone to taking part in the longer I Matter Relationship Health learning Journey.

Participants should make available around 12-16 hours of time: 6-8 hours to work through the course videos and 6-8 hours to complete the reflective work. 

The programme is open to participants for 3 months to help support focus in getting it completed and includes the option to listen into our recorded Q&A library which is a growing resource added to each week..  There are options to submit questions on completion of the 8 week programme for up to 4 weeks.

Course participants view the online teaching sessions from their own computers through our online platform. 

The core I Matter Fundamentals programme includes threemonths access: 
+ The online programme with 6 weeks of released content

The support programme
+  Welcome session and Getting Started - Tues 5.00pm (open when you have completed preparation modules_
+  Moderated course forum with a responsive approach
+  Fortnightly Q&A 3.30-4.30pn (presubmitted questions - Week 1 mainly personal, Week 3 mainly professional)
+  Monthly focus sessions Tues 3.30-4.30pm
+  Monthly guest experts and experts by experience Tues 3.30-4.30pm


Option to apply to join small closed groups with licensed practitioners or trainees subject to availability  currently Tues 2-3pm
Option to purchase full colour overview course notes 


Developing your Skills and Use of Resources

At the Fundamentals stage the I Matter Resources are reserved to you for your own use only.  ie they are not for copying and distributing.

If you are interested in progressing your skills in a personal role you can apply to join our Deep Dive learning community

The Professional training does not involve using the resources professionally other than to encourage interest in others.  Instead the focus is on how to manage the challenges of one's own role using an understanding of the I Matter Framework and relationship health principles.

The information contained in this course is relevant to anyone interesting in preparing to improve child and adult wellbeing with an I Matter Relationship Health Approach. This material is relevant to anyone who is involved or will be involved with adults and young people: parents, grandparents, teachers, counsellors, youth workers, family workers, therapists, social workers, psychologists. This course can be used for professional development for teachers, continuing education for helping professionals, and staff training for youth programs. It is also highly recommended for any serious students of psychology and all those who seek to support others in their development.
