The I Matter Bursary Fund enables to offer bursaries and scholarships available to
i) professionals in small schools
ii) parents and carers on low incomes.

The bursary fund is managed by a Trustee group and an unincorporated association

Join the Relationship Health Matters Community
The Relationship Health Matters Community was set up alongside the beta publication of Relationship Health For Professionals and Parents: The Missing LInk in Children's Wellbeing.
Members are people in positions of influence who want to network with others and support us with our mission to bring about a shift in emphasis in child and family practice.
We offer monthly recorded discussions based on the themes raised in the book, networking opportunities with other leaders and opportunity to help guide us in being successful with this important task
Please be aware that we are a small project. Whilst we want to reach out further afield, our priority is still to focus on running effective systems in the Kendal area so that we can share our learning. Whilst we focus on taking small steps, becoming a Friend of I Matter is no guarantee that we can directly support your own school or community with I Matter Training due to the complexity of issues that must be navigated. All we can guarantee is our commitment to taking the next steps with safe practices and our commitment to promoting the issues of Relationship Health more widely.
The I Matter Project is in an exciting stage in its development with a great deal of trialling of systems having now been completed , we are now moving forward with systems and processes that are well designed to help us to meet our mission.
Our aim is to increase the accessibility of I Matter Training especially to disadvantaged groups and make the functioning of our small project able to be sustainable, healthy and outward looking with a strong commitment to quality and ensuring positive results
Through 2018 and 2019 and 2020 we have done a lot of exploring about how to best reach out to the schools and families we most want to support.
One of the most successful approaches has been to offer schools and families small bursaries to offset the costs of training. With this in mind we have set up a small unincorporated association with three trustees and a separate bank account.
More recently we have also become aware that there is a community of professionals and parents who want to stay informally involved after introductory training through a membership scheme. So our idea is to tie these two options together to support our scholarship fund
If you like what we are doing and would like to become a Friend then you will be helping us take our next steps and building our financial security so that it is possible for us support families who want to access support with the costs of their I Matter Training. There are therefore two options
