A Gift to You and an Invitation to Support the Work of Relationship Health Matters CIC
On this page you will find free and low cost teaching content from Dr Cathy Betoin's video library. Each selected 'Nugget' picks out a key concept from the I Matter Framework Fundamentals, or spotlights an idea that is key to Relationship Health Practice in home or work settings.
Whether you are a parent, educator, or helping professional, we hope these materials will deepen your understanding and offer meaningful insights into the needs of the children and young people in your care.
Wouldn't it be great if could give EVERYTHING away for free or low cost! We certainly don’t want finances to stand in the way of progressing relationship health and I Matter informed practice.
But, It's not possible for us to offer the full programme this way as there are real and ongoing expenses involved — AND we also know your decision to make an active commitment is vital to your results.
So we are able to make a few presentations freely available, especially those we believe are too important to keep behind a paywall.
Dr Cathy Betoin is a Clinical Psychologist, a Teacher and a Parent
Offering some of our materials as free or low cost is not a reflection of them being less important. In fact we have chosen to share some of these key ideas here because they are SO important. If you find them helpful, we actively invite you to share them with others who might also benefit.
This content is freely offered to you as part of our commitment to progressing more relationship health in the world for adults and for young people. Relationship Health Matters CIC is a not-for-profit organisation that works with I Matter Training to help share these ideas with a wider audience.
If our work resonates with you, and you’d like to contribute, we’d be grateful for any amount you choose to give — it helps us to keep going and continue sharing these insights more widely.
I MATTER NUGGETS SERIES

So, here you have a gentle nudge to begin now, as part of your visit here. We’ve found that when there’s a natural time frame, people are more likely to dive in and benefit from the resources. If we add them to youtube.. well you know well what happens!

You may have heard of the I Matter Model, but what is it exactly? Following a detailed review of the research on adult and child wellbeing, there seemed to be a gap in thinking around the relationship between stress in adults and stress in children. The I Matter Model helps address that gap. It can help you take that first most vital step.

The full I Matter Relationship Health Online Learning Journey Level 2-5 is a 1 year programme for professionals and for linked parents and carers
who want to build their confidence for their roles. This includes getting past those times of feeling stuck or unsure about the way forward in a challenging situation with a young person or other adult, when you know what you want to do, but can't seem to do it, yet don't really know why.
We are currently prioritising our work with professionals but particularly love working with professionals who are also parents and carers! :)
According to which role you choose you will progress via a slightly different learning pathway. We review everyone at 4 months end of Level 2-3.
People can withdraw at the end Level 2-3 but will need to wait 6 months before rejoining and will need a refresher.
We are currently pilotting Level 2-3 with a variety of forms of study support
