I Matter Preparation for Parenting

In the I Matter Preparation for parenting-caring training the focus is on learning some key ideas that will help you to function as an effective team. 

We will explore some of the essential ideas in the I Matter Framework and get you started on important conversations
This training can be a stand alone experience or can be followed by registration for a full I Matter Journey

Suitable for:  Parents and Carers who are anticipating the arrival of a child in the family.  This training is particularly targetted to those who are working in a direct relationship with a child such as new parents, adopters and special guardians.  Parents at other stages or teachers, TA's GPs, Paediatricians, Psychiatrists, Heads, Teachers, TA, HLTA, Nursery and College staff, Health Visitor, School nurses, Social workers, Clinical Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Police, Probation Workers can find it a useful orientation to the importance of the Parent-Carer role.

Pre-requisites:  Usually booked via a member organisation with a Lead Professional

By the end of this course you will:

1. Have had a chance to think thorugh your important coming role
2. You will have learned some key ideas from the I Matter Framework
3. Have taken time to clarify elements of how you want your team to work to support your child
4. Learned about options to build on your learning.
