The I Matter Local Community Wheel

I Matter Community Wheel events are intended to be a focus for bringing together a learning community in a locality.    We see the Wheel as being hosted and supported by I Matter but wider than I Matter.   Wheel events also run on a half termly programme and we hope the menu of options will grow and that they will be a focus for building up the skills of adults in relationships with children.    Courses will be run by members of I Matter for a small fee but will include things other than I Matter and will be open to those who are not I Matter Trained

As a parent-carer member of I Matter you can attend the Community Wheel events at a discount.

I Matter Parent-Carer Link

If you have completed the Foundation A and B course and want to work with us more actively to spread the word about an I Matter approach you can apply to our Link Parent role.  There is a short extra training and if you have experience in presenting or would like to do this, you can be licensed to present our introductory sessions called 'Why Parenting Matters for Children's Mental Health', or 'How to help your Challenging Child: An Introduction to I Matter Thinking'

Note on Parent-Carer not linked to member schools - for self-help only membership

Parents-carers who are not linked to member schools may subscribe to the monthly membership library.   They may not submit questions but can listen to the monthly Q&A recordings.   If they know a member of the Community Wheel they may attend community wheel events as a guest

It's quite simple really - we offer resources and encourage people to take time to think and learn about what is happening around them..

We carefully gather evidence of the impact of I Matter Training using a variety of formats and will be presenting more here very shortly.

Get Started: Learn why healthy adult-child relationships and healthy communities matter for mental health, positive behaviour and healthy child development at home and in school. Then.. Take Stock and Go for Results.

If I had understood these ideas earlier

I could have been a lot more effective
