Flexible delivery models

Local circumstances vary so no single delivery model will work for all areas. We offer a variety of delivery models which can be further tailored to local need.     When discussing these options with you we will take into account the size of your organisation, your specific interests, and your staff commitment to training.    We can provide every element of I Matter’s service offer – family support, practitioner training, community engagement – across each delivery model.

Self help learning

It is possible for any professional or parent to register for our online self-help learning programme.   This delivers the core Foundation content through a gradual release process and may be combined with self-organised self help learning in the manner of a book group.

Please be aware that self-help learning is not adequate to become licenced as a Lead or Link Professional.  For this purpose you must take part in a minimum of 6 study support sessions with an approved practitioner.

Member schools and services are able to provide the self-help learning programme at a discount.

Supported learning

Our core current focus is on building a team of professionals who can provide high quality informed study support for online learning.

All of our supported learning commences with a registration and recommendations process which enables us to guide participants withe specfic targetted advice relevant to their own contexts and needs

In order to take out a licence to provided supported I Matter training for parents and inhouse professionals, schools and services must first invest in core training for an inhouse team.

Under a Lead or LInk Professional licence with the I Matter Project we can support your setting

1.  Direct Delivery - we provide training directly to professionals and parents from your own setting - for funded or self-funded places on our courses

2.  Indirect Delivery - we train your Lead Professionals who provide inhouse supported learning opportunities for professionals and parents at a significant discount

3.  Shared Delivery - we work together to provide supported I Matter training for your linked parents - some follow inhouse training options and others join our supported courses

4.  Train the Trainers - once you have some highly experienced professionals then we can explore the option of your own staff delivering training for professionals in your wider community.

Longer Term Complex Care Co-ordination

When we work with children with more complex longer term challenges we can offer and generally recommend a more detailed assessment process based on observations of the child in home and school settings and review of existing reports and guidance.

We can then work with a bespoke package to help adults and schools better under stand the needs of the child and work together to support the emergence of their social emotional skills and competencies and confidence in key relationships.

This work can be supported under specialist commissioned packages such as Adoption Support, Pupil Premium and Education Health Care Plans

Whatever I MATTER based service you are interested in for your local area, we will aim to provide it through a delivery model which will work for you.
