Welcome to The I Matter Clinic.
I MATTER SPECIALIST ASSESSMENT AND RECOMMENDATIONS
We help you gain a new perspective on the way forward for a full range of challenges that affect children and their families.
Becoming I Matter Informed through an introduction course is a useful step if you want to help a child who is anxious or challenging. However if the concerns you have been apparent for a while or are complex or escalated in some way then a careful assessment and recommendations process is always recommended as part of a longer term supported process.
We offer specialist assessment and intervention services for both parents and for professionals in member organisations. The intention is to build the insight and skills of the team around your child so as to help you address a multitude of mental health and behavioural challenges for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. We have a special interest in post adoption support and in skills development for young people
There is a core specialist assessment which can be complemented by a more in-depth bespoke process where funding exists.
We are currently accepting new enquiries for I Matter Specialist Assessment and Training. Our current patch is families with a GP in the Kendal area or linked to post adoption services. Please speak to your GP who will contact us via our agreed referral route and one of our staff will contact you to discuss the circumstances regarding your needs You can send us a message via www.imattertraining.com/contact-us. There is no charge for this initial consultation.
Our clinic services are also open to professionals in member schools who want support to understand how to best help an anxious or challenging child, especially when there is a need to build a joined up home-school approach. Some of these children will have formal plans and entitlements such as pupil premium or EHCP or Adoption Support. Please contact us for advice if you are unsure.
We strive to provide high quality services for children who are anxious and challenging and for their families and professional team, offering a welcoming environment, and a step wise guided process, towards improved confidence, wellbeing and educational results.
We are located at Stramongate House, 53 Stramongate, Kendal, LA9 4BH, and also online.
