The I Matter Essentials of Attachment Email Course

This short course was a response to being contacted by a series of families who were looking for help with a child they were concerned about.  All had struggled to find the help they wanted and so they were wondering what to do next.

The Essentials of Attachment email course offers 14 days of 3 minute teaching videos that can help you start to think about how you can best help your child.

The feedback on this course has been very positive and so it is now an integrated part of our longer Foundation course where the ideas are put into a wider context of the I Matter Framework.

We imagined refilming the videos but that has not yet happened.  However due to the increasing challenges that famiilies are experiencing in finding help, we have decided to make it available as an anytime offer.

Particiipants should be aware that though seemingly simple, some of the ideas covered in this course are quite challenging. Support may be needed to think about the issues that arise from them.

Participants will therefore get best value from the course by making time to discuss their learning with family members and others.   Lead Professionals in Member schools can purchase vouchers to make this course available to their own community to support a shared learning process.

"I wish every parent could have access to this course as soon, or before they had children, I wish I had seen this years ago"    Parent and Teaching Assistant

The course made me think about what my child might be going through rather than just assuming he was being naughty. It made me look at myself and how I reacted to certain situations. I now understand more about my child's difficulties and it has made me realise that I need to do some rethinking  Grandparent

Please note: This course is not recommended for parents who are in highly escalated or complex circumstances unless high quality support is also available.  We know that informed support is key to helping parents-carers find their way through the challenges.  Please read our Terms and Conditions and SOS Disclaimer carefully.

It's quite simple really - we offer resources and encourage people to take time to think and learn about what is happening around them..
