🧭 Welcome

You are here because a practitioner you are already connected with has invited you to take part in a small, I Matter Learning Journey Microproject

This is part of a Mini Candle practice context, where practitioners apply their learning in a focused and supported way in real-life situations.

🧠 What this is

The I Matter Learning Journey is a structured learning system that helps people understand relationship health, communication, stress, and behaviour more clearly.

In this Mini Candle context, you will be supported to:

  • access the I Matter Learning journey
  • learn key ideas from the I Matter framework
  • apply them in 1–3 real-life situations or areas of focus
  • reflect on what you notice as you go
  • develop clearer understanding and confidence over time

This is a learning-based process, not a treatment or therapy service.

🕯 Why you have been invited

Mini Candle learning is offered through practitioners when:

  • there is already a working relationship or context of support
  • there is a clear opportunity to apply learning in real life
  • it may be helpful to explore relationship health ideas in a structured way
  • there is motivation to understand things more clearly, not just receive advice

This is about learning through real situations, with light-touch support.

🧭 What taking part involves

If you choose to continue, you will:

  • begin with a short introduction to the I Matter Learning Journey
  • access Level 1 learning (foundations)
  • begin applying ideas in your agreed focus areas (usually 1–3)
  • reflect on what you are noticing in your own time and context
  • stay in contact with your supporting practitioner as agreed

You do not need to be “ready” or have everything figured out before starting.

🧠 Important things to know

  • This is not a clinical service or therapy
  • This is not about being assessed or judged
  • There are no tests or pass/fail stages
  • You can pause or step back at any time
  • You are learning through real-life experience, not just theory

🕯 What support looks like

Your practitioner will provide light-touch support, which may include:

  • helping you access the learning
  • checking in on how things are going
  • supporting reflection and understanding
  • helping you connect ideas to real situations

The focus is on learning, not intervention.

🌱 Getting started

🧭 If you are unsure

If you are not sure whether this is right for you, you can:

  • speak to the practitioner who invited you
  • begin the introduction and see how it feels after that
  • agree with your practitioner how long you have to decide

There is no pressure to proceed quickly.

🧠 Final note

Many people find that starting with real situations they already know helps make the learning more meaningful and easier to understand.

This is why Mini Candle learning is small, focused, and supported.

How support works

How Decisions Are Made About Access

Access through the Learning Access Fund is typically identified through:

  • Link or Lead practitioners
  • schools, GP practices, or community services
  • individuals self-identifying with clear motivation
  • practitioner-supported Mini Candle contexts

The focus is always on motivation, relevance, and readiness to engage in learning, not diagnosis or eligibility testing.
