🧭 Welcome

We are offering a small number of funded pilot places for people in the Kendal and surrounding area who are interested in developing their understanding of relationship health through the I Matter Learning Journey.

This pilot is part of a structured development process led by Relationship Health Matters CIC, working with local professionals and organisations.

We are inviting people in different roles to take part, including professionals, parents, and carers.

🧠 What this pilot is about

The I Matter Learning Journey is a structured learning approach that helps people understand:

  • communication and relationships
  • stress and emotional responses
  • patterns in everyday situations
  • practical ways of making sense of real-life challenges

This pilot is helping us refine how the learning works in practice across different settings and roles.

👥 Who this is for

We are especially interested in people who are:

  • professionals working in health, education, social care, or community roles
  • parents or carers at different life stages
  • people supporting others in a formal or informal capacity
  • individuals interested in personal learning and reflection

You do not need to have prior experience of the I Matter framework.

📚 What taking part involves

If you are offered a pilot place, you will:

  • complete approximately 12 hours of structured learning over up to 4 months
  • work through the Level 1–2 I Matter Learning Journey
  • apply ideas to real-life situations relevant to your role or experience
  • take part in light-touch reflection and feedback as you go

There is no testing or assessment.

This is a learning and development process, not a qualification or therapy programme.

🧭 Support during the pilot

Depending on your pathway, support may include:

  • access to online learning modules
  • optional study support sessions
  • guidance from a practitioner linked to your microproject (where relevant)
  • structured reflection prompts

🌱 Why feedback is part of this

This is a funded pilot designed to improve and refine the learning approach.

We ask participants to contribute light-touch feedback during or after the learning experience.

This helps us understand:

  • what works well in real-life use
  • what needs simplifying or changing
  • how different roles experience the learning
  • how the model can be improved for wider use

🧭 Commitment

To take part, we ask that you:

  • commit to engaging with the learning over the pilot period
  • complete the core learning elements
  • provide feedback on your experience

This helps ensure the pilot produces meaningful learning for future development.
