Supporting your I Matter Online Learning Journey

Study support helps you engage with the learning, apply ideas in real situations, and reflect on your progress.

The type of support available depends on whether you are self-funding or accessing via a funded microproject 


🟦 For Parents, Carers and Individuals

All self-funding parents and carers and individuals an access entry level  Ask Anything and Get Started Workshops.

As part of the I Matter Level 1–2 online learning journey, you receive structured learning support built into the programme.

This includes:

  • Access to core learning modules
  • Opportunities to submit questions for a weekly recorded Q&A
  • Monthly live group session (online)
  • Access to occasional local sessions (Kendal area if applicable)

If you are self-funding you will also receive access to selected live events including:

The I Matter Training site does not currently provide extra personal study support for parents, carers or individuals.

For parents and carers accessing I Matter via a microproject, the nature of the study support on offer will be defined by the specific project.


🟨 For Professionals and Practitioners

All self-funding professionals and practitioners can access entry level  Ask Anything and Get Started Workshops.

As part of the I Matter Level 1–2 online learning journey, you receive structured learning support built into the programme..

This includes:

  • Access to core professional learning modules
  • Weekly recorded Q&A opportunities
  • Monthly live professional learning session
  • Access to occasional local sessions (Kendal area if applicable)
  • Access to professional learning forum (peer discussion space)

You will also receive access to selected live events, which may including:

Focused study support (professional pathway only)

In addition to the core learning, professionals may access focused additional study support to help apply the framework in their role.

This could include:

  • 6 group sessions of discussions
  • 6 x 1:1 short check in sessions
  • an agreed coaching package

This is educational support for learning and application, not clinical supervision or casework.

For professionals accessing I Matter via a microproject, the nature of the study support on offer will be defined by the specific project.


Practitioner pathways

Professionals may also progress into practitioner training pathways to support learning in real-world contexts.
