What this is

This training consolidates learning from Level 2 and focuses on how to apply the I Matter Framework in real-world professional and everyday situations.

It helps you move from understanding the ideas → to using them to make sense of complex situations in practice.

The emphasis is on case formulation, decision-making, and applied relationship health thinking.


Who this is for

This training is for people working or living in high-demand environments where clear thinking under pressure is needed.

It is suitable for:

  • professionals in health, education, and community roles
  • practitioners supporting children, families, or adults
  • parents or carers managing complex situations
  • people preparing for further certification roles

You should already have completed Level 2 (I Matter Framework Fundamentals).


What you will learn

You will develop applied understanding of:

  • how to use the I Matter Framework in real situations
  • how to approach case and problem formulation using relationship health thinking
  • how to understand your own role within professional systems
  • how to recognise patterns in stress, behaviour, and relationships
  • how to assess readiness and next steps in complex situations

  • applying for Link Professional certification
  • progressing into more advanced I Matter practitioner roles
  • developing consistent, structured thinking in complex cases
  • strengthening confidence in professional decision-making

What this is not

This is not a standalone theory course.

It is a practice-focused consolidation step designed to strengthen your ability to apply what you have already learned.


✔ Certification Requirements

To become certified at this level, you must:

1. Entry requirements

  • Completed Level 1 and Level 2 ideally with study support
  • Have agreed suitability for this role with your organisation

2. Learning requirements

  • Completed associated Informed Practitioner training module(s)
  • Participated in minimum of four monthly case formulation discussion sessions with peers

3. Application of Learning

  • Demonstrate ability to apply the framework in context of your own role
  • Submitted a reflective journal exploring I Matter Informed case formulation for discussion with peers

4. Maintaining certification

  • Maintain involvement with the informed practitioner community (eg min 2 x a year)
  • Submitted one updated reflective journal around I Matter Informed case formulation for peer discussion.
