Getting the I Matter Learning Journey into a form that it can be supportive to the many people who can benefit from these core understandings about the importance of relationship health has taken a lot of work.

The principles that have governed the search for the right way forward are as follows:

1.  The knowledge and skills are of universal importance and too often overlooked and misunderstood
2.  The adults in any family or work situation have a vital role to play
3.  Prevention and early intervention is better than reacting to escalation
4. Adults and young people need community and a sense of belonging to experience wellbeing
5. Adults and children thrive when developmental needs are met.
6. Wellbeing improves when individuals learn take responsibility for their own outcomes
7.  Funding has to be considered but full funding misrepresents the work involved in good results.
8. Organisations have a key role to play in the culture that they are supporting.
9. Conversations with others are key to developing understanding.
10.  Change starts with our own choices.

How to Progress with I Matter Training and the Community Wheel.

I Matter offers an educational programme that can be supported by coaching.
It is not a therapy and we do not provide support services.
Community Wheel is intended to share relationship health thinking in local communities via organisations
Both can be a complement to a wide range of other interventions.

1. Any person can now pay for an account and get started today in learning more as part of self-paced learning.  They can join the online I Matter Community Wheel and receive news.

2. Any person linked to an organisation that is valuing this approach and has a Link professional can access discounts on the cost of their online learning account.

 3. If a professional wants to train to become a Link professional they are an informal point of informed contact only.  Their organisation can offer discounts on the cost of the online learning account

5. If a professional wants to train to become a Lead professional they can offer opportunities for group discussion or 1:1 to their own community or clients for people who have an online I Matter Training account.  The online accounts could be self-funded or funded as part of a package.  Leads must take part in Study Support to become approved.  When approved they must be listed on our Directory.

4. If a Lead professional wants to progress a local Community Wheel programme in their own community they can become licensed to host a local network.  The local networks aim to share relationship health thinking and understanding through the community.

6. If a professional has a clinical background with families and wants to train to use the online assessment, they can offer specific consultations to help families who are registered on the online training to find the way forward.
