🟦 Kendal & Western Dales Locality Learning Hub

Relationship Health and I Matter Informed Learning Hub

Discover how an understanding of Relationship Health can support individuals, families, professionals, and organisations to strengthen connection, reduce pressure, and improve collaboration across health, education, and community settings.

🟩 WHAT IS THE HUB?

The Kendal & Western Dales Relationship Health Learning Hub is a locality-based learning and development initiative bringing together:

  • GP practices and Primary Care Networks
  • Schools and early years settings
  • Community and voluntary organisations
  • Professionals working with children, families, and adults
  • Parents and carers (via supported pathways)

It uses the I Matter Framework as a shared foundation for supporting more relational understanding, prevention, and early intervention.

🟨 WHY THE HUB EXISTS

This initiative supports a shift toward:

  • earlier, shared relational understanding across services
  • reduced reactive demand on frontline professionals
  • improved consistency in how families are supported
  • stronger collaboration between health, education, and community systems
  • practical, real-world relationship health development

This is being developed through funded microprojects in Kendal and the Western Dales.
