The I Matter supported learning programme for LInked Individuals and Parents is open to those with a recommendation from their own organisation.

We work with localities to take forward fully and partially funded supported learning programmes, starting in the Kendal and Western Dales area.
Study support is offered centrally via I Matter Training and via participating organisations.

Families with a certified School Link Professional can access supported I Matter Training with a recommendation via self funding.
The focus is on preparation, prevention, early intervention
There are a small number of funded options via Certified Lead Professionals also with a focus on early intervention services.
A personal recommendation from the Certified Link or Lead is required.

4️⃣ Registration & Access

  • Who can access self help learning:  Anyone
    Who can access supported learning:
     Parents, families with a Kendal GP and child at a Kendal school and a Link Recommendation

  • How to register:

    1. Use Hub Lookup to confirm local hub coverage

    2. Check Dates via search
    3. Contact the hub directly via email/phone

    4. Express interest in Bronze, Silver, or Gold (where available)

  • Notes: Gold pathway requires prior verification


5️⃣ Safeguarding & Scope

  • Hub Safeguarding Lead: Dr Cathy Betoin

  • Safeguarding Policies: ✅ Yes, up to date

  • Scope of Programme:

    • Educational relational health programme

    • Not therapy

    • Families in crisis referred to statutory services

    • Gold Level: Family based psychoeducation possible only if TAF and other services are involved
  • Practitioner Responsibilities: Adhere to local safeguarding policies


6️⃣ Session & Delivery Details

  • Delivery Mode: Blended (in-person + online)

  • Session Length / Frequency:

    • Silver: 1.5 hours, weekly for 6 weeks

  • Max Participants per Session: 12 families

  • Additional Notes: Sessions held in accessible community centre; childcare available


7️⃣ Financial / Payment Information

  • Core Programme (self-paced): £75-£295
    Extras

  • Bronze Study Support: £50 for 4 months

  • Silver Group Study Support: £200 for 6 sessions

  • Gold Intensive Support: From £700

  • Revenue Share: 75% retained by hub / 25% to I Matter
