What this role is
The Senior Link Professional role is a certified oversight role for experienced I Matter practitioners.
It is focused on supporting the development, alignment, and safe progression of the I Matter Learning Journey within organisations or community settings.
This role does not deliver training or study support.
Instead, it ensures the programme is being used appropriately, consistently, and in line with organisational needs over time.

This role is for senior professionals who have completed:
- Level 1: Get Started
- Level 2: I Matter Framework Fundamentals
- Link Certification Step
It is suitable for experienced professionals in:
- health
- education
- community or voluntary sector leadership
It is particularly relevant for those involved in programme oversight, service development, or cross-organisation collaboration.
What Senior Link Professionals do
Senior Link Professionals support organisations by:
- overseeing how the I Matter programme is being implemented
- ensuring alignment between organisational goals and learner needs
- supporting long-term development planning
- helping maintain consistency and quality across delivery settings
- contributing to community or hub-based development networks
They are not involved in direct teaching or coaching of participants.

- ensures quality and coherence of programme use across systems

Senior Link Professionals typically work within:
- licensed organisations
- education–health partnership hubs
- community wellbeing networks
We are especially developing this role within integrated community models where schools, health, and community services collaborate.

To become certified at this level, you must:
1. Entry requirements
- Completed Level 1 and Level 2 ideally with study support
- Have agreed suitability for this role with your organisation
2. Learning requirements
- Completed associated Senior Link training modules
- Participated in min 3 senior link peer discussion sessions
3. Application of Learning
- Demonstrate ability to apply the framework in relevant context
- Submitted a reflective journal around implementation for discussion with peers
4. Maintaining certification
- Maintain involvement with the senior link community (eg min 2 x a year)
- Submitted an updated reflective journal around implementation issues for peer discussion.
