Microproject Practitioner Licence

The Microproject Practitioner Licence is a structured practice role within the I Matter Learning System.

It is for motivated professionals who want to  progress relationship health learning in real-life situations in a small supported, reflective way.

It is inspired by the idea of lighting a candle' in difficult times - we can't do everything but we can each do something

It is not a qualification or clinical role.

It is a licensed practice role within a learning system.



🧭 What the licence allows you to do

As a Microproject Practitioner, you are licensed to:

  • apply the I Matter Framework in real-life contexts
  • work with 1–3 families, individuals, or focus areas
  • use learning in your professional or practitioner-parent role
  • reflect on your practice using the I Matter approach
  • develop understanding through real-world application

🧩 What Microproject Practice involves

Microproject Practice is built on the idea that:

meaningful change happens through small-scale, real-world application supported by reflection.

It is not about delivering intervention.

It is about developing understanding through small steps practice.



🧭 Who this role is for

This licensed role is for professionals who:

  • are already engaged in the I Matter Learning Journey
  • are working with families, individuals, or groups
  • are motivated to share I Matter learning with others 
  • are open to reflection and ongoing learning about their own role


🔗 Practitioner support structure

Micro Projects may be supported by:

  • Link Practitioners (eg offering assisted access to online learning with light-touch orientation support)
  • Lead Practitioners (eg offering consults, workshops or structured certified study support sesssion series in 1:1 or group)

🔁 How the licence works

  • You enter through the I Matter Learning Journey with regular steps
  • You apply for the microproject license and with a microproject idea
  • You apply learning in 1–3 real-world focus areas
  • You reflect on practice and learning
  • You may continue, pause, or renew the licence depending on relevance



🔁 The Microproject Development Fund

We work with Relationship Health Matters CIC to support practitioners with progressing local microprojects where funding challenges are the key barrier.

  • You will submit a short application
  • These are reviewed quarterly
  • There is no guarantee of funding
