All successful journeys start with noticing new details that have been overlooked
Locality Hubs including the Community Wheel are the means by which we progress conversations and share I Matter Training to build resiliency.
We help professionals bring fragmented initiatives together to empower parents and carers and individuals who want to learn about relationship health and an I Matter approach with a degree of joined up local support and safeguarding oversight.
Across the country, parents, carers, and professionals are working hard to help children and young people thrive, often while managing uncertainty, pressure, and complex needs. Many people sense that relationships are central — but don’t always have shared language, confidence, or practical frameworks to draw on. I Matter Training helps provide some firm learning and organisational foundations on which to build.

We currently have funding for 50-100% bursaries for professionals working in Kendal schools for the supported Phase 1 and Phase 2 Silver Supported Fundamentals + Link training. Build confidence in relationship-health-informed practice and help us develop a local culture that supports the development of these skills in families and young people through prevention and early intervention partnership with primary care and local schools.
Families can get started independently but if linked to a hub, currently via participating GP's and schools, they can access entry level workshops and 'assisted self-help' online learning accounts which provide further informal learning together options via Community Wheel
Professionals can't do this community building all on their own. If you are a parent or carer and would like to help bring an I Matter Learning hub to life in your community.
There are lots of flexible, low demand, ways to move forward.
If you have any questions about Kendal access or support, please contact us via the Help Desk.
