All successful journeys start with noticing new details that have been overlooked
Relationship health matters — for those supporting others, and for those living family life day to day.
Welcome to the Kendal community hub for Relationship Health. This is the local entry point for professionals, families, and individuals who want to explore how Relationship Health supports adults, children, and whole communities.
Across Kendal, parents, carers, and professionals are working hard to help children and young people thrive, often while managing uncertainty, pressure, and complex needs. Many people sense that relationships are central — but don’t always have shared language, confidence, or practical frameworks to draw on.
The Relationship Health: Kendal Hub offers a local pathway for adults to help strengthen understanding and skills for relationship health — in families, schools, health, and community settings. Working with Kendal Primary Care Network and local partners including Western Dales PCN, this approach supports learning that is reflective, practical, and grounded in everyday experience.
Whether you are supporting others in a professional role, caring for children and family members, or simply curious to understand more, this page is your starting point for engaging with relationship-health-informed learning in Kendal.
You are encouraged to express an interest here as this helps us understand your motivation. However please be aware that funded places are limited and so all funded places are offered based on an invitation from a certified practitioner. FAQ.
How do I learn more if I am in Kendal?
1. First ask if you have a work-professional or home-personal-parenting-caring learning interest.
2. Then ask if you are in the Kendal area (with a Kendal GP - if personal interest) and if your school or child's school is participating. If they are participating speak to the School Link professional. If they are not participating, share this information with senior leads and encourage a staff member to express an interest
I want to self-fund
Self-funding is possible for professionals if you have the support of your organisation. Self-funding is possible for personal-parenting-learning, if you have the support of a Link professional in a participating organisation. Self funding is not suitable for Band 3 or 4 complexity without locally informed support but is possible for Band 1-2.
