We run I Matter Training Programmes through 3 pathways in the Kendal area
i) Through I Matter DIrect professional training
i) via Kendal PCN and member schools for parents (mild-moderate challenges)
iii) Through I Matter Direct for complex needs such as ASF and EHCP
The I Matter Training programme runs in association with the Kendal Primary Care Network on a rolling programme with a registration step, taught workshops and with no online learning required.
We have found that a group of parents-carers gain substantial benefit from the process of working through the online programme and committing to a more in-depth learning process with potential for longer term learning.
In order to make this online facility available to any family who has been offered a place on the PCN Programme and wants to learn I Matter in more depth, Kendal PCN has fully funded
a bursary for an online Preparation and Step 1 account.
The Step 2 online account has not been funded. Step 2 goes through the content introduced during the workshops but offers additional opportunities to reflect in more depth and work for certificates.
Anyone wishing to progress beyond Step 1 with online study can apply to join the regular I Matter Direct programme for parents and professionals.
Those in a state of financial hardship can apply for a bursary for the Step 2 account if the Step 1 account is completed within 1 month of the end of the workshop period. You will be asked to complete Step 2 within 4 months.
The I Matter Journey is both practical and straightforward but it is also quite challenging and can sometimes be experienced by some people as sensitive.
Please complete the following if you would like to apply for an initial bursary for a Preparation and Step 1 online account.
If we can confirm your account we will send you the log on details.
Please consider the support you may need to get best value from this training including where to access it from. Prioritising self care is a key issue discussed in the course.
