An I Matter Approach to Relationship Health is a two-day workshop that shares the principles of the I Matter Framework with couples and co-parents so that they can have a better understanding of how to bring about relationships at home that that are happy and stable.

See for yourself why people find I Matter Framework Training full of light bulb moments.   This is a synchronous event with Q&A throughout the session, as well as experienced practitioner support during each exercise time. Additionally, couples will receive a physical set of workshop materials to further their learning

Based on the work of Dr Cathy Betoin over a period of more than 24 years of practice with children and families, the I Matter Framework offers a clear integration of decades of research evidence presented in a manner that just makes sense.  An I Matter Approach to Relationship Health workshop will give you new insights and research-based skills that can dramatically improve the confidence, intimacy and friendship in your relationship and help you manage conflict in a healthy, positive way.

Workshop Description

Our curriculum is based on 25 years of experience of working with children and famlies with a full variety of needs and challenges.  It’s grounded in a principles of sharing with you insights into what makes relationships between adults and children and adults and adults into happy and stable experiences, rather than fantasy ideas of what a good relationship should be. On day one, you will learn some essential ideas on which to build successful relationships and friendship and team work based on feelings of respect and affection. On day two, you will learn how to manage conflict and communicate moreeffectively.

What will I learn?

You and your partner will learn about the I Matter Framework as a way of understanding how to make relationship s successful based on knowledge, respect, affection, and closeness in your relationship. You will build and share a deeper connection with each other. You’ll learn how to keep conflict discussions calm, how to break through stuck problems, and how to strengthen and build your relationship.

Other workshop topics include:

+ Understanding of the symptoms of stress and of wellbeing
+ Understand how both individual practice and couple practice support an effective team
+ Understand how to strengthen connection 
+ Understand how to manage conflict successfully
+ Understand how to recognise warning signs and what actions to take

Who is the workshop for?

This workshop is designed for ALL couples in a committed relationship. You do not need to be married. If you have a strong relationship, this workshop will provide you with insights and tools to foster further closeness, friendship, and trust. If your relationship is under strain, this two-day workshop will provide you with a greater understanding of your relationship and a road map for repair.

No public discussion or disclosure is involved. All work is done as a couple and I Matter Trained practitioners are available to support one-on-one during exercises. This educational workshop is not intended for couples dealing with escalated concerns such as addiction, domestic violence, or other serious relationship issues.

In those situations, we recommend seeking counseling with an I Matter Trained Advanced Practitioner
