🧭 Introduction

Thank you for your interest in an I Matter Learning Opportunity.

This application is for open access funded places within the I Matter Learning Journey.

These places are part of a structured, community-based learning programme designed for parents and carers who want to explore how relationship health, communication, and everyday patterns influence confidence, wellbeing, and family life.

The programme is delivered by Relationship Health Matters CIC in partnership with local organisations working to improve access to practical, preventative learning.

🧭 How this programme works

I Matter Learning is delivered through time-limited learning cohorts run across the year.

Each cohort has:

  • a fixed start and end point
  • a limited number of places
  • a structured learning format (Level 1–2)
  • a focus on real-life application and reflection

Applications are collected during defined intake windows and used to allocate places for the next available cohort.

🧭 About cohort focus areas

Each learning cohort is shaped around a specific life context so that the learning is practical, relevant, and grounded in everyday experience.

Across the year, cohorts may focus on different areas of family and relationship life. Examples may include early parenting, school-age family pressures, fathers’ experiences, or grandparenting roles.

You do not need to choose a cohort when applying. If a place is offered, we will match your application to the most appropriate learning group based on your current situation and cohort availability.

🧭 Who this is for

This open access learning opportunity may be suitable if you are:

  • a parent or carer managing everyday family pressures or change
  • interested in understanding relationship patterns and communication
  • looking for structured, practical learning for real-life situations
  • not currently seeking or requiring clinical or therapeutic support

🧭 What the learning involves

If offered a place, you will take part in the I Matter Learning Journey (Level 1–2).

This includes:

  • approximately 12 hours of learning over 4 months
  • flexible online access
  • practical tools for everyday situations
  • reflective learning activities

Some participants may be offered additional study support depending on availability within the cohort.

🧭 Access routes

This page is for open access funded learning places only.

If you have been invited to take part through a GP, school, or other professional, you will receive a separate link for that specific pathway.

These pathways are managed separately to ensure appropriate structure, support, and capacity across the programme.

🧭 About funded places

Funded places are limited and offered as part of a structured learning programme.

They are not a discounted version of paid learning, but part of a community initiative to improve access to relationship health education across different contexts and life situations.

A small number of funded places are available within each cohort. In some cases, part-funded places or places with different levels of additional support may also be offered depending on availability within the programme cycle.

🧭 What this application is for

This short application helps us:

  • understand your current situation and learning context
  • check that this learning is appropriate at this time
  • allocate available places for the next cohort cycle
  • ensure cohorts are balanced and manageable

🧭 What happens next

After you submit your application:

  • it will be reviewed by the I Matter Learning team
  • applications are considered for the next available cohort cycle
  • we may contact you if we need further information
  • if a place is offered, you will receive full details for your cohort start date
  • if the cohort is full, your application may be considered for the next cycle
  • Places are limited and allocated across each cohort cycle. Submitting an application does not guarantee a place.
