I Matter In Mental Health
Training in the I Matter Framework can contribute to improving children's and young people's mental health practice with children of all ages and stages in a number of key ways:
I) Ensuring that practice is built on a wholistic integrated understanding of the contributors to difficulties
ii) Offering a responsive accessible relevant offer for parents and carers seeking help
ii) Developing new insight, observation skills and competencies in carers and teachers
iv) Drawing disparate initiatives into a consistent reasoned community focussed approach
We are now starting to work with a number of schools and services who are using I Matter Training proactively as part of a proactive holistic approach to children's mental health and wellbeing. We observe that it helps participants to start thinking differently about a range of interconnected needs and initiatives.
