I Matter Challenge for Prevention
What does it look like when we follow some evidence based principles?
I Matter Challenge and Support for Pre-Early Help and Prevention
Training in the I Matter Framework can contribute to the processes around early intervention and prevention of difficulties with children of all ages and stages in a number of key ways:
I) Assisting with the provision of essential early generic training for parents and carers and school staff
ii) Assisting with integration of learning in parents and carers as children progress in their development
iii) Creating a framework for assessing holistic needs and monitoring progress to identify needs early
iv) Developing new observation skills and competencies in carers and teachers
v) Drawing disparate initiatives into a consistent reasoned community focussed approach
Membership of the I Matter for Prevention Network can be the beginning of a development process for your organisation that will help you start thinking differently about a range of interconnected needs and initiatives
We are now starting to work with a number of schools and services who are using I Matter Training proactively as part of a preventative approach. We observe that it helps participants to start thinking differently about a range of interconnected needs and initiatives.
